Red Deer has the Cutest Children!

Well I have been waiting to have a session with this little man for…about 6 months! Some great friends purchased a gift certificate as a shower gift! Unfortunately, there were some circumstances at birth, that lead to us not being able to get the newborn shots, but thats Just FINE!…here he is at 6 months, sitting up, smiling with so much glee, one can simply NOT smile when you see him!

    one bundle of total sweetness!

I got a call mid week last week, of a mom who really wanted to get some newborn photos ASAP. Luckily, I am still waiting on my mad rush of 2008 babies, (I have 7 newborns I am waiting on to finish out the 08 year!) so I had the time to squeeze them in!

Here is miss Sophia, and her big Sister MacKenna ( hope I spelled her name right!). Thank you both ladies, you were both wonderful subjects yesterday morning!

Mom & dad, you guys are going to be in trouble when these 2 grow up! Arent they just sweet as EVER?

Anyways she has long long hair, she has had a few trims now and then, but nothing substantial to say the least.  Well about a year ago, she was watching a show an TV about a little girl with cancer, and Rylee was really intrigued by the story. She was REALLY amazed that this little girl had no hair.

Fast forward a few months…we are sitting in my salon getting ready to cut Rylee’s hair. she says to me .. “wait mommy…what about the little girl with no hair….” It takes me a minute or two to remember exactly what it was she was talking about…then it donned on me.  SO we took a quick measure, and a quick google, to realized that to donate hair to Locks of Love she needed her hair to be at least 10 inches long. If anyone knows of a GOOD canadian society, I would love to hear from you.. kinda like to keep the hair up here..if I can!

so SHE made the choice to wait.. a year and 3 months later…October 30th, 2008 My daughter, my 5 years and 3 months old daughter, achieved her goal.  I am so very proud of her… in SO many ways… I love her dearly?, I can only pray that she will continue to grow to be a kind a giving soul.

here we are…waiting for our turn!

I think I am about to hyper ventilate at this stage…Rylee is calm and cool, like she Knows what she is doing!

    one snip…

    then two..and its done..

and here is the goods…14 1/2 inches of beautiful brown hair..that my daughter has lovingly cared for over the past 5 years of her life!

a quick flat iron..and we are DONE! SHe is looking a bit sad here, but she wasnt in the LEAST!

so here is my snow white…in all her glory…HUGE thanx to Tracy for being gentle on mommy when the first “snip” went. and also to Gramma…for making Rylee her stunning costume!

    i think I have it…

I have a nice little tradeshow booth all ready to go for next weeks Moms on the Go tradeshow in Sylvan…and now..I have a new idea…

it means some painting…. quite a bit of painting…. some carpentry work… and some more painting…but it would be so sweet….

    do i?? or dont I??

    jillian

a few months ago I got a phone call from a super excited grandmother to be… she wanted to surprise her daughter with a maternity session! After lots of giggles, and chatting, we finally got it all arranged! This new arrival will be the first grandchild on BOTH sides of the families… I soo can’t wait for the newborn session!

so.. we get the date set, and the time.. I show up at Jill’s house..and knock on the door, with a pile of paperwork and information for her.. then I realize… I LOCKED my DANG keys in my truck… We call the local key place..they say at least 60-90 minutes, that’s a no go.. we call around a few other places…no such luck either..so I call my dad…My dad is my savior in so many ways.. anyways he comes to the rescue,  Jill offers to drive me down to the Extra Foods, so my dad can meet me there with my extra set of keys!  Can you say a SWEET client! ? thank you so much girl!

and yes.. I did go get an extra key for my truck…but of course.. I have a truck with the dang chip in the key..so this key will ONLY unlock the door, not start the engine.. one of those suckers are $300 (CHOKE)
