HOLY HOT!!!!!!

I hope that everyone stayed cool over the weekend! We spent part of the weekend fishing again, with the kids, and the rest of it we spent playing in the sprinkler! During peak hotness on Sunday, I had to ditch the family and head out to Stettler for a maternity session. (boy am i GLAD i have Air Conditioning…I am sure I would have melted away if I didn’t!) I actually enjoy the drive from Red Deer to Stettler, its not TOO long, and it sure is pretty!

Melissa & Kyle are expecting their FIRST child the end of July! I am soo super excited for them, I just know that they will be good parents! Their house is already stuffed full with baby paraphernalia! From all the laughs and giggles we had on Sunday, I truly can’t wait for their newborn session!

Here are two quick peeks for you guys! Im feeling a bit on the funky side today, and therefore I tend to be a bit more creative. at first I didnt like this crop..but after looking at it for a while..I LOVE It Red Deer Maternity Photography

TGIF!!!!!!!!

I spent yesterday morning in the dentists office.. we had a slight dental emergency as Jackson (3.5) wacked one of his front teeth with my 8lb dumbell. Im not really sure HOW he did it, but yup he has damaged it severly, and the dentist only gives it a 10% chance of survival. SO basically we sit and wait for a month, then go back in, and they will test the tooth for vitality. Lets all hope its ok..b/c the other options are a black tooth, or we pull it. I guess i should be happy that its only a baby tooth, and after Xrays, he has done no damage to the adult ones… but still.. kwim? Well after we finished off there, I headed off to another newborn session, I tell you…Central Alberta must be having a HUGE BABY boom! Its just maternity client after newborn client, and so on! Don’t get me wrong..I LOVE newborns, but I am truly amazed at the amount of them out there right now!

Here is miss Isabella! She is 14 days old here, and she was simply perfect. She slept a lot, and woke up just enough to get some really nice portraits of her STUNNING eyes!

To recap…Rylee was saying the words “bug material”…when she was talking about her painful ear…what she was meaning…was indeed…BACTERIAL! I can see the resemblance easy peasy!

Last night, I headed out West of Ponoka for my final session of the week. This family is one of my all time favorites…they are so much fun, and are always up for just about anything! Plus…it makes me teary eyed to think…this young man, was my very first newborn session EVER! Here he is…almost 2 years ago!

its FRIDAY!!!!!! and a contest!

Well I survived! hee hee! one last session this afternoon, and I am finished for the weekend!

Yesterday I drove back down to Olds for a newborn session and was so delighted to meet brand new baby Thea… she was super sweet, and has a pile of cute brown hair!

My husband was having a conversation with my almost 5 year old daughter today…and she was telling him all about yesterday’s activities. More specifically, how we went into to visit the dr, because her ear was really sore. And then how the doctor told her that she had “bug material” in her ear, and that was what was making it so sore…it took me a few tries myself to figure out what she was trying to tell her daddy.

well 2 down today!

and 2 more to go! as Promised here are the sneak peeks from Wednesday’s sessions!

first up is sweet Hudson, he is a whopping 6 days old, and was an absolute dream to play with this morning..he hung out… peed some, peed some more…went back to sleep… peed again, then woke up for a few minutes just so i could get a few shots of his wonderful eyes, then he went right back to sleep! I giggled with glee when I saw his head of hair…dont you JUST LOVE BABIES WITH A PILE OF HAIR? I sure do!?

after Hudson, I whipped back into Red Deer for a session for Mia. Mia’s mommy has the sweetest little accent ever…a nice little Texas girl! Mia’s mommy and I spent a pile of time together this spring while our daughters were in ballet together! It was so fun to hang out with your whole family, meet your mom( all the way from Texas!), and your husband! Thank you so much for everything today!
