Red Deer Maternity, Newborn and Baby Photography

I had so much fun while in Vegas last week! I met a zillion new friends and joined up with several that I have met over the past few years!

I actually manage to attend ONE class while I was there too! It was by a cool dude I had met earlier on in the week!

SO here is a quick version of WPPI and Deanna Hall Photography

Sunday Feb 15th

7:00 pm flying out of Calgary..

8:00 pm still waiting on the plane..they have to de-ice it!

10:00pm ( vegas time) land and meet my friends from Learnfest  Allyson Crozier, and Jen Thompson who were graciously waiting for me at the OTHER terminal in Vegas…so after a few frantic phone calls, and some directions I hiked over to meet them!

k im bored with it this way…changing now.

So I was tickled pink to head to the Palms Hotel and party in the REAL WORLD suite of MTV fame.  The host of this party was Becker an internation wedding photographer of rockstar status! The security was nuts, and so was the party.. they had a sweet set up of photobooth style pics ( which I haven’t seen yet, but when I do I will link to them for sure). Chatted it up with Gene Higa and his best friend Ann Hamilton. What an amazing pair those people are! We busted Gene trying to sneak into the shower ( thinking it was the washroom) and then he took pity on us (brandy & i) and had a super conversation with them both! Gene’s class btw was the ONLY one I managed to attend… just too much networking to get done, plus an amazing tradeshow to boot!

On tuesday we headed out to the neon graveyard just (south i think) of the strip.  Becker had organized a shoot with about 30 photographers and 4 models. AS we were waiting for the cab ( think photographers must all smell the same or something, Scott Andrews of Scott Andrews Studio jumped in the cab with us!

It was cold, I was super glad I had a coat with a hood on it! those poor models! Once we get to the site I was TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY! I think it has to be one of the coolest locations ever! They are super strict with things, only the models can youch the signs, and even then only with a light touch, no feet, no sitting… they are working really hard to preserve part of the LAS vegas culture at this museum! I was proud to pay them to use the location! I know they will using it carefully and correctly!

Tuesday night was a party hosted by my website template creators. They rented the ‘Body English’ bar at the Hard Rock Cafe.. got to hang with some more amazing photographers like Audrey Woulard, Brianna Graham, Amanda Padgham, Marie Cox and a zillion others!

Here are a “few” of the shots I have edited so far!  One model was very much more towards the fashion end of things, one had insanely beautiful eyes, and there were 2 super cute couples! I havent quite got to the rest of the couple shots…I love them ALL!

oh and for some of you who love to read blogs, do you use google reader? OMG I love it..it pops up whenever anyone on my list posts a new blog entry..it makes blog “stalking” so much faster and easier! hahaha!
