Red_Deer_Photographer ROCKS a Family & Teen session!

I had a much anticipated session on Tuesday! we have been trying to get this session done for a few months now, and it seemed like life schedules just never allowed us to! (That or our infamous Alberta weather!)

Deb and Greg (of Window Masters here in Red Deer) wanted something DIFFERENT for their family session. Something that just fit their family.

I have to say that I am REALLY EXCITED about this session, it was soo very much fun, and I often dont get to shoot families where the youngest child is already a preteen!

I took them to one of my favorite locations, which unfortunately I don’t use very often..just because of THE LOCATION. It is definitely not toddler, or child friendly!

I have so many of these that I love… Be prepared for a big share! I am totally stoked..I thoroughly enjoyed my evening with this family!

I had the pleasure of driving around Johnstone Park on Tuesday, trying to find this home. I have to admit, that I do have a GPS that I use most times to help me find a clients home, but in the case of Johnstone Crossing and Johnstone Park, (as well as Devonshire, Davenport and Lonsdale) it ABSOLUTLEY drives me bonkers that my GPS does not cover those neighborhoods yet! I mean..COME on ! LOL! I even have the 2009 update.

ANYWAYS…enough of my rant!

I am super excited to welcome this family to my DHP ‘family’! Its so refreshing to see other families with 2 ( soon to be 3) young children. So very much the same as my family!

Im back!

well with that lovely freak snow storm we had yesterday I ended up without any internet service until I got home way late in the afternoon!

I want to say a few public thank yous first of all!

First, thank you to the people that helped me celebrate reaching 100,000 visitors on my blog! Its only taken 2 years to get there, SO I am actually really proud of that! I am super excited to get some of these new albums out and about!

The casting call… I had over 25 entries of children between the ages of 5 months and 9 months! And what an entire bunch of cuties they all were!

I ended up choosing one sweet little girl, and one CUTE little boy! And I am so excited to get brainstorming the how and when’s!

SO without Further ado..here are the 2 sweet children I have chosen for my 6-9 month casting!

Isnt she just the cutest thing EVER??? I am super excited to get my lens on her!

tooth fairy!! arrives tonight..for the first time in our house!

Yes sir! Ry lost her first tooth, and she was NOTHING but smiles all day! I have video of the whole thing, and maybe if I get a chance I will upload it tomorrow…she was such a trouper!

Since she was all smiles, I decided to snag the camera and head outside with her for bit this afternoon!

Its been a long winter, and I am craving some sweet sessions that make me feel like Spring is here. I am tired of snow, I am tired of brown dead grass, and bland colors. This is how I am feeling…

SOOO…I am looking for a limited number of fresh faces for my online portfolio. If you or someone you know has a child who is about 5-8 months old, cute as a button and is interested in a complimentary session and a free 8×10 then keep reading!

I am specifically looking for children from 5-9 months of age who can sit well unassisted, but are not yet crawling and a whole pile of cute bright colored clothing!

The session will take place either in your home or outside (weather depending of course!) within a 50km radius of Red Deer. A typical session will take approximately1-2 hours. The session will take place during the month of April.

I have some new backdrops and some different Ideas that I don’t generally get to try all the time. This is the purpose of this casting call. For me to try out some different ideas, that have been stewing in my brain!

What I will need from you is a signed model release (which gives me permission to use your images on my website or for my marketing materials). Additional prints may be purchased at a 10% discount.
