OFF to the Royal Red!

Well many of you know that I compete in reining with my horse.. Well today I am off to Regina for a week to compete at The Canadian Nationals… we are going to work our best to come home with one or more National Championships! WOHOO! my pony is working like a dream right now!, so we ( my trainer and I) are REALLY excited for this year! Not sure on the web service at the show grounds..but I will update if I can..

tee hee! check this out!

I am feeling pretty blessed today.. A few days ago I was asked by a really well known scrap designer Amanda Rockwell, if she could use some of my photos to show her new release of texture photo overlays.. well OF COURSE I jumped at that opportunity! YOu might recognize a few of these from some recent sessions! Dont they LOOK wonderful! Its fun to see my images shown in a different way!

I has a wonderful BRIGHT and cheery session this week, despite the crazy weather. It actually turned out really nice when we were finished inside, so we popped out to the backyard for a few more relaxed natural shots! and am I ever glad we did! I just love these. I love how I have captured this new young family just being themselves..chillin’ in the backyard on a warm day! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Its already time to think about…Christmas! ~Red_Deer_Photographer

YUCKY HUH?

I know that is scary to some of you, but for me, its part of life.. after August comes September and October, which are often my 2 busiest months of the year. Everyone wants fall family photos! Some want them to hang on the walls, some want them to include in Christmas cards, and some clients just love them and love to see the change in their family from year to year! Its not to early to start planning for your fall portrait session!

new Albums! yay! and in my colors!

these crazy albums took forever to reach my hands! but are they ever worth the wait! and NOW they have even released orange for the cover! so you can guess correct that I have already put in an order for a few oranges ones to keep in stock!

They are an 9×9 album with 30 matted 5×7 images inside.. and they are simply YUMMY!

sunshine, strawberries and watermelon!~Red_Deer_Children’s_Photographer

I had a wonderfully fun session last week, in the HOT HOTness of alberta summer! Good thing we planned the session for 10AM! It was already 24C when I arrived!

We started off in the house for a few shots, then headed down the hill to Grandma and Grandpa’s farm for the rest. What a GREAT location! The main purpose of this session was for young Mr S! and OF COURSE we had to include his darling big sister, and slip in a few of the whole family!

He is simply so cute.. I could just gobble him up! His eyes… and his expressions were priceless! I am thrilled to have them in my portfolio!

Our treat for the kiddos was to enjoy some watermelon and berries when we finished up, but Mr S was the only one interested..and holy COW was he into the berries!
