I first met this wonderful family about 2 years ago at a local Sylvan Lake tradeshow! At the time, they only had one sweet darling little girl with the most hair I had EVER seen! It was so great to see them again, and let me camera see the amazing growth and changes in Ryann as well as meet her younger brother Crosby! ( Doesnt he have the CUTEST name?) Well his darling face matches how cute his name is too! I hope you love your sneak peeks!
As many of you may or may not know.. I love red hair.. and my portfolio is sadly lacking in cute little red haired children. So a few months ago i put out a quick casting call for some red haired children.. well this gorgeous little one is a result of that call. My camera and I instantly loved her wonderful self. She is warm, funny and totally a wonderful 2.5 yr old little girl! We did this session at a new location I have been driving by for about 2 years and finally decided that I NEED to try it.. I AM in love! and I can not wait to use it again! We battled some nasty I mean NASTY bugs for this session, but despite a few bites, i think we all managed to come out pretty swell!

“Celebrating Adoption came into existance in early 2006. I was asked to photograph a family as they prepared to start the adoption process. One of the images from the session was to be used on the file given to prospective birth mothers. As a strong believer in adoption, I was very touched by the love that this family had for each other and the hope they held to add another child to their family. I wanted to celebrate with this family when they brought their new baby home so I offered a free session. It was a long road for this family with many tears shed as they waited for their child. In the meantime, I was introduced to more adoptive families that wanted to include the art of professional portraiture in their celebration. I have been blessed to photograph domestic adoptions, international adoptions, infants and older children. With each family, the Celebrating Adoption concept formed in my mind. OK so forward to my clients.. a few months ago i received an email from a wonderful adoptive mommy inquiring about a session.. well with work, school and RAIN..we had to post-pone the session for several weeks! I had the pleasure last week of visiting some past clients. Its been a few years, but that is totally one of the best things about my career.. I get to meet my clients over and over again, it often gets to the point where I feel more like a friend than a service provider! I wonder which of my blog stalkers can pick out the baby photos of this sweet little girl? I will give you a hint.. its a 2008 blog post! LOL. oh yes.. and no answering if you know this family! thats cheating! LOL!

I was super suprised to get the phone call from Cindy a week or so ago! Her sweet little bundle was not due until the first week in November! But Alas, she decided to enter the world a bit early! She entered the world just over 4lbs and needed to stay in the special care nursery for a few extra days! She was 8 days old when we arranged to do her newborn session, and what a doll she is!
I know I say this alot.. but I truly LOVE images with daddy’s and their baby girls.. they just speak VOLUMES to me! sigh…
And boy did she LOVE to be swaddled… I dont think I have ever had a baby love it quite so much, as soon as we would get her all wrapped she would just settle and snuggle in. Love this one also!
She was so settled that she even woke up for a while and gave me some sweet epressions. I love it when I get a full eye contact image from a newborn!
Then for fun, we thought we’d try a full family image.. this wonderful puppy was SO SO SO very excited to be part of the image.. she was sooo good.. smooches to her!
