It has been so far in our team/club memberships the MOST amazing and rewarding experience yet!

Rylee is in her 6th year of dance, and is very excited to completely drop it, in order to do more nights of cheer ( not sure how I feel about that yet, scheduling will ultimately will decide).

Premier Cheer, is a young club. 2011-12 was only their 3rd year in operation.

They will have 12 teams in their club for 2012-13 season.

They offer tumbling classes, birthday parties, private lessons, recreational and competitive  cheer teams.

They also have implemented an amazing new character development program for all of their athletes called POWERFUL WORDS CHARACTER EDUCATION SYSTEM

Each month they focus on a different Powerful Word!

“We are not only building exceptional athletes but also exceptional leaders and learners through our new Powerful Words System!”

They have classes for all children ranging from ages 4-18.

and the BEST part. is that EVERYONE makes a team.

They provide a safe, exciting and FUN learning experience.

New in 2011 they opened the premier cheer preschool for both 3 and 4 yr olds.

It is not cheer based, but does have a wonderful physical activity each day!

What has MY family received from Premier Cheer?

Rylee has learned the importance of determination and courage.

She has learned how to work as a team.

She has learned that there is no I in team.

She has learned that hard work yields results.

What I find amazing, that while learning all these important LIFE lessons, she still has UBER amounts of fun, and loves her cheer team more each day!

She is 8. She told me last week, she wants to be a cheerleader for life. ( and then she asked me when she could be a coach! LOL)

Phew this ended up a way longer post than I anticipated!

I was removing stuff off my old PC last week and came across a few old shots.

They are mostly of my own children, but I am so very GLAD to have found these.

Today I got an email from the publishers of Red Deer’s Child Magazine, asking if I could help them arrange and shoot a FUN FASHION event!

HECK ya!

So here is the scoop!

Date and Time are still to be released. We DO know that the shoot will occur BEFORE May 12th, 2012.

We need 8 children that are ranging from grade 2 – 9.

We are looking for at least 2 boys, with 1 for sure in the Jr High age range.

How do you enter?

Some of you know that my dad and my youngest have a totally AWESOME bond between them.

Not many of you know that this idea has been over 2 years in the works.

I have just been lazy, slacking on photographing things for MYSELF.

Finally, on Family Day this year, I took control.

I can NOT wait to share these! Its been hard not to even sneak a peek!

The kids and I slaved in the house all weekend, this airplane started out as a oven box, which we unassembled, then reassembled, glued, taped, and painted.

Then we painted some more.

And some more.

There was so much love and sweat put into this set that It would be a shame to just let me kids ruin it all.

So.

I am happy to announce an afternoon of fun mini sessions.

One day. (TBA early April)

Back to my house to be enjoyed (probably trashed) with LOVE.

I love road trips. This one cost me a bit extra however! LOL ( totally MY own fault ! oopsy) TSK TSK.

AND NO it WASNT a distracted Driving ticket, it was a speeding ticket, which my children think is REALLY funny.  Until the RCMP came to the door, then Ty started to cry thinking I was going to Jail! ( ya, I don’t speed THAT much!)

Have I mentioned how amazing this group of women are? 

They are fun.

They are goofy.

They rock.

They make me smile.

This time I had the pleasure of driving North to see them, which allowed me to find some find and new locations for their session.

I am so grateful for them to be on the blog again. (smile to you Nancy)

In case you do not know about Mommy Connections, it is a wonderful “mommies” group that get together once a week in Red Deer.

They discuss and learn many wonderful things, such as sleep habits, how to make your own baby food, baby yoga, and so very much more.

I go in once during each session, do a quick but informative talk on how to take better photographs of your toddlers and babies.

Then also take one free portrait of each member present and their child. Its a perfect way to commemorate their time in the Mommy Connections program.

Mommy Connections have been such a wonderful supporter of myself, that we decided to host a private day of session JUST for Mommy Connections members past and present.

The best part is that 15% of the total sales from the day go right back into the Red Deer Mommy Connections group!

I am thinking that we will be doing another day of Mini Sessions for this wonderful support/friendship group in the spring, so Don’t Miss out!
