I just love it when I get the call from a newborn client when they tell me they JUST got home from the hospital! Its exactly what I want to hear! It really lucked out for us this time, as I was able to meet and have a session with this sweetheart when she was barely 2 days old!
Here are a couple of MY favorites from the session!
I has a wonderful BRIGHT and cheery session this week, despite the crazy weather. It actually turned out really nice when we were finished inside, so we popped out to the backyard for a few more relaxed natural shots! and am I ever glad we did! I just love these. I love how I have captured this new young family just being themselves..chillin’ in the backyard on a warm day! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I traveled East of Red Deer on Friday for a sweet baby girl session. How could I resist a baby girl named Leighton Paige? Well let me tell you she is as sweet as her name sounds!
It was so great to be in a home where a baby is loved so much! Gramma was there, and was bugging me that I was getting more snuggling time that she was!

please welcome miss avlyn to the world. after my mad dash to delaware last week, I arrived home on Tuesday morning to some great news! I had another newborn session to do! this one is a tad bit more fun because this little miss, is a new member of my extended family! I madly unpacked, jumped in the shower and headed into Red Deer!
and a similar one in normal color..this one is pretty much straight out the camera! Which color do you like better? version1 or version2?

and every now and then, I run into a sibling that is 100% totally INLOVE with their new baby!
Well Austin is one of those…! It was so fun to see him snuggle right in beside Avlyn…and hold her…
this one is my favorite from the session..I can already see the big brother in him..her protector…her guide through life!

On tuesday I had the pleasure of making a small road trip to Forestburg. For those of you who don’t know where that is…head to lacombe and turn east…keep going northestish for about an hour and a half! It was a nice change, a 90 minute drive twice in one day, was super relaxing, and I actually really enjoyed being quiet! This session was a baby shower gift from a good client of mine for her Sister In Law (well almost anyways). How fun is that!

She was having some great milk dreams while I was there, and a lot of the time, of course, it was while I had the camera down. But not ALL the time! hee hee.. I love BIG smiling babies!
She was so sweet, even at 4 weeks, she slept like a champ, and let us wiggle her in and out of several different cocoons that I have made, and was dying to try out!

And of course..why is it when I recruit big sisters help to check my lighting..i end up with cute shots like this one! TOTALLY unexpected! Messing around with my post processing on this one…it gives it a more true pink color!
